How to detect scoliosis

Hello everyone, Today I wanted to do a blog post on how to look for the top 10 main signs of scoliosis. It can be very hard to detect scoliosis, especially if someone has an 'S' shaped curve, this is because the curve can be counter balanced, whereas a 'C' shaped curve can sometimes be more easily noticed  as it doesn't have a counteracting curve. Here are some signs to look for: 1) Back Pain  For most scoliosis patients, back pain doesn't occur too often, however in some severe cases back pain can be present. Back pain is quite an obvious tell tale sign in which you can personally notice, if you do experience back pain, it's well worth the visit to the doctors even if it isn't scoliosis they could be another underlying condition or disease. 2) Adnormal Curvature of the Spine The primary tell tale sign is the development of an adnormal curvature within the spine. Scar Treatment After Scoliosis Surgery

Hi guys, Today I wanted to talk to you all about some tips and products you could use on your scar after scoliosis spinal fusion. I thought I would do this blog post in order to help those who have either had the surgery or are preparing for the surgery and would like to find out some extra information on scar care and treatment. I'm going to start this blog post by giving out a warning to all those who may have just had surgery, do not and I repeat do not put anything on your scar until you have spoken to your surgeon first, this is because if the scar has not healed and you apply creams or oils on to it, it can cause infection within the wound.                                                                  Hi guys, Today I wanted to write a blog  post in celebration of being 8months post op !! Honestly, I still cannot believe it was 8 months ago since my surgery, it feels like it was just yesterday, that I was laying in a hospital bed struggling to do the things such as walking and siting up. These are things I do on a daily basis and take for granted, but when you are suddenly unable to do them,  even if it is just temporary, really makes you realises just how lucky you are. I have come so far since my operation, and although recovery was hard and long it was well worth it. I feel very proud of myself for how far I've come, but I honestly couldn't of done it without the amazing support I received from Sheffield children's hospital, and of course my family and friends. I can safely say, 2 titanium rods and 15 bolts later that although spinal fusion was probably the scariest thing I've ever had to do

So far, I've found zero fallout and it blends beautifully into the skin and doesn't leave a horrible white cast like
